Blood Spots
I hear that doctors that review logbooks actually don't mind seeing little bloodspots on the pages. It lets them know that the person is really testing their blood sugars and logging them.
I was leaking like crazy, and didn't notice it until I smeared it all over the logbook!! Many of my pages have little spots, but nothing like this!!
Now I just loved hearing about your test strip stories. How about any good "leaker" stories?

How would they feel if you wrote your numbers in blood?
I never wear white shirts anymore because inevitably I get a smear on it.
Now THERE'S an idea! Maybe I will start plotting the points on the graph with blood droplets!

And then you can rewrite "Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head"...Blood drops keep falling on my log, lalala.
White dress + wedding (as a guest) + a leaker = bad news. It was one of those that didn't bleed at first, so I sqeezed it, and it must have clotted or something because the blood flew EVERYWHERE.
One of my worst finger pricks was when I was having a low at work a couple of years ago. I was starting to get nervous and had to hussle back to my office to test/eat. As I was walking briskly back to my office, I was shaking out my hand a bit to get blood flowin'. I got into my office, opened my meter, and POP! hit a capilary that sent a stream of blood across my chest. I then had to keep my finger in my mouth the whole time I was downing glucose tablets and a candy bar.
I'm sure I looked like a deranged idiot with blood across my chest, a candy bar in one hand, and trying to eat with my finger in my mouth. I don't remember whether I went home to change or hand something to wear over my shirt, but it wasn't pretty, that much I know...
My logbook used to look like a Rorshak test. Oftentimes, I saw a butterfly. And Larry Bird.
Now I print out my results the night before my Joslin appointment. And I have to intentionally smear the pages so it looks like I printed the pages out every day for the last four months. :)

I guess just as long as they can see the numbers, its ok.
Mine would look like that-if I actually wrote down numbers on a regular basis.(I'm also a night-before-the-appointment downloader)
When I used AccuCheck logbooks,they fit in my case(and were therefore subject to severe abuse). One logbook got dropped in the bathtub, in addition to the blood smears. When I tried to take off the blood smears off the front cover, (with alcohol swabs) it took off all the ink so then I had a warped, red-blue-white-black logbook on my hands.
The pediatric endocrinologist said it was the worst he'd ever seen.
Haven't had any embarressing spurters.
i had the same thing as jen, but without the white wedding dress!!!
